official max here just under 41'C. The thermometer on my back window in the shade said 43 at about 6pm. Argh.

And yes, average temps are up this decade. And Perth hasn't had average rainfall since about 1980 ie the rain they've had in the last 30 years averages one tenth what they had in the previous 100 years or so of record keeping. And I don't know how some people don't believe in climate change, I got taught about it in junior high school in 1975.

Oh yea, Dis. I live on a farm. The vac had been peeing me off for ages, then it died at a most inconvenient time.

I placed it on a fence post. Went to the locked gun safe, got the shot gun, loaded it and went out there. I checked that no cows were in the area, told it in no uncertain terms what I thought of it and shot the s*** out of it.

I'm sorry Di, just the image of you with a gun bigger than your head!

I know. I cannot remember it being like this. Our back deck has a roof that has the clear stuff on the roof. We have ordered new tin so we can re-roof it and block the sun out totally. The previous owners said the deck can hit 40 in summer. At the time I thought "what?" Can see what they meant now though. The back deck is like a heat-magnet.
New material is being cut to size, so hopefully it will be ready about Tuesday - ha, right when rain is forecast! Lol.
We have so got to get the new roof on before Inca arrives. This heat would really affect her.

    PMSL.

Even better is the true story Di.
The gun wasn't locked in the gun safe, it was in the holster attached to her hips.
