That's both my Spirit & Tara. I love them so much. The "work' attitude is beginning for Spirit now though. She's not real happy with me correcting her in training but she'll get over it & start to settle into being my working partner.

Obedience Trialling. It's a set of prescribed exercises that test the relationship between dog & handler in a structured environment. Spirit has "the goods" to do well in this discipline.

That's really interesting. Can you go into more detail?

It's a very long training program.

It's getting a bit silly now ... talk to you tomorrow if you're still serious about learning about what goes into training an Obedience Champion dog.

Oh, I sincerely apologize if you thought I was mocking. I honestly don't know anything about this form of training, I was just making guesses. What sorts of things do the dogs learn to do? Or is it more of a psychological thing between the dog and the owner? Trust exercises etc.

Again, I really do apologize. My intention was certainly not to mock what you do. I have a lot of admiration for having the patience to do that kind of intense training with a dog. My Terry could sit, come, stay, and shut up.

Another question (may sound stupid but isn't intended rudely)
Is it like horse dressage? Jumps, doing things a certain way?
