That's mighty gassy! I don't celebrate Christmas - so the next 24 hrs is spent avoiding it.

Actually - Christmas is the one time of year I see hypocrisy really come out in people. It is meant to be a religious holiday but people are all - it's for the kids - ok - decide - are you celebrating the religious festival to honour Jesus - Mass of Christ - or are you celebrating the commercial holiday - xmas.

I can't see how you can have both and not be a hypocrit - can someone enlighten me - perhaps this is just outsiders bias.

Actually Occy, you've hit the nail on the head IMO.

I was wondering the same thing yesterday, as on other threads so many ppl here claimed to be athiests. But...they're celebrating Christmas. I don't get that.

But then again, maybe it is because ppl use the holiday period of Christmas for other purposes equally as important to them, such as catching up with family they normally wouldn't see or things like that?

Me either. I just have a day of great food, wine & company around our table.

Not all that religious & I don't have kids .... so it's a great lunch for me.

Don't think hypocracy gets a gig for tomorrow ... people are far to mellow.

Hmmm, that's what I thought may be the case for many.
I was sauntering around the shop today buying fresh fruit for our pav, and it was sickening to see how many ppl were abusing each other in the shops, pushing and shoving.

Brock and I are waltzing around like we couldn't give a rat's bumb, and some were eying us off as if we were a wee bit strange.

    Viva la strange!

My family are spread. they have umbilical cords of elastic. They go where they may, eg Iraq with the army. When you want or need them together, they come. There are individual lives as well as family solidarity.
