A great day for me today. Lots of treat making & my kiddies made me laugh and covered me with kisses just "because". Life is good.

Good on you GSD for being so brave and working up the courage to confront that woman. I applaud you

Thanks Loren. I felt sick to my stomach driving to club & was exhausted the next day from the stress of it all. Just a pity she didn't front & went to the Doggie Big Day out instead. Oh well, the "gossip bush telegraph" is pretty strong at that club, so someone will have rung her & let her know I was going to have a "chat" with her. I'll let it go now & see if there's a change in attitude when club starts up again early Feb.

The simple things in life are the best aren't they GSD, especially when you see someone going through something as awful as that poor breeder. I was reading about it yesterday and I was in tears, I can't begin to imagine how she must be feeling. I woke up at 2am this morning thinking about it. I'm sure your fur kids got lots of extra cuddles yesterday ( and today, tomorrow, every day )

And good on ya for not taking any more crap from the women at the club. I know what you mean about heart thumping I'm exactly the same. I will avoid confrontation as much as possible but if I'm pushed too far..........!!

Good morning all. Going to be a hot one here today apparently. VERY hot.

Yes GSD's - I recognise 'things' within you that I understand fully; that instinct is very strong here. I'm sure you'll know what I mean.

Know what you mean by the heart pumping, blood rushing GSD's and TKay. I think a lot of us would like to avoid confrontation as much as possible, but sometimes there are things we just have to make a stand on, such as this bullying coward of a woman who is treating you like dirt, GSD's. To be silent all our lives and continue to live like doormats is shameful, not to mention harmful.

I so hope 2010 is a great year for you and Spirit. I know I'm hanging for the New Year. This has been one fo the worst years ever for us, yet the silver lining is that we have all learnt so much from it. I feel like Stuart Little - every cloud has a silver lining. Lol.

The simple things sure are Tkay. Poor Ange. She's a fantastic breeder. She bred Spirit's Mum & Dad and got Spirit going in the breathing department when the guy was just going to let her die. So Ange is a very special person to me. Spirit's breeder refused to pay to register her, so because we paid, we could name her ourselves. I gave Ange the honour. Ange's kennel name is Alpinarc, so Spirit's full name is Dieux Blancs (breeder) Alpen Archangel. And nice tribute to Ange I feel.

Did you read the "blow by blow" account of what happened ? Blood in 3 different rooms of the surgery & the "vet" refused to do a C Section to save the 12 that died with Sugar. I cried & cried into Spirit's fur thinking that I may have never known her or had in her in my life without Ange's strength & determination. Another breeder & good friend is travelling up to Sydney on the weekend to support her at this most difficult time.

I've taken quite a few emotional "hits" in the last couple of weeks, so it was just lovely yesterday to work, be a bit "Zen" and just enjoy my dogs. I was just so relieved and happy to be settled, I thought I'd share.

Morning DA. 39 here today. As my kitchen gets the afternoon sun, up at sparrows this morning to get all the offal boiling done before the heat gets too much.

I'm sure with some of what I've written regarding my childhood experiences & now with dog club, you've probably been saying "Right on Sista !!!"

I'll certainly be glad to see the end of this year. Lots of people have had a hard time of it. I've spoken with our training mentor & we'll be meeting regularly over the break to get Spirit ready for trial when club resumes. "Success is the best revenge."

    Right on Sista! Lol.

You know something I learnt a long time ago GSD's? With success comes the feeling of achievement and tremendous self-worth. Usually when they are attained, 'revenge' goes out the window and never comes back again. It's place is then filled with pity instead.

I know you were just kidding, but I thought it was a good lesson I learnt.

No, I actually really mean "Success is the best revenge." I went through the same thing with Zena and when we started to knock this woman & a few other trophy hunters off their perches, I really enjoyed watching their "cat's bums faces" as I walked to the presentation area and graciously accepted the first place ribbon & trophy while they had to stand there fuming. As I turned around, prizes in hand, I looked them squarely in the face & without saying one word, simply raised one eye brow as I walked away.
