    PMSL@Von.

Yep Lynnie, the Dyson we bought is fantastic with dog hair. Floor tools we chose with it just suck the hair out of the carpet with ease. Really impressed.

Everything, literally. I'm not kidding. If the ruddy carpet isn't stuck down well, it'll lift it off the floor.

I got a vacuum attachment that has a spinning bit that brushes dog hair off. It's not so good with long people hair as that wraps around the spinner until the brushes are covered up. Works good on short people and dog hair though.

I use a sabco flat mop with dry fluffy bit for dog hair on flat surfaces. Works brilliantly. Then I brush it off with a scrubbing brush outside and go again. Gets dust and pet hair and is easier to push around than the vaccuum cleaner. Though neither cleaner is easy to work when Frosty decides to "help" and latches on to the brush/sucker end.

My charming OH bought me an industrial VAX vacuum cleaner.. it too sucks up everything, even the carpet if it wasn't nailed down.
