    Morning all.

Today I watched a GR puppy and a big Labrador chase each other onto the soft gooey freshly watered cricket pitch - the one place on the oval dogs are not allowed to go... and neither owner had a hope in hell of getting either dog to come back to them. The lab owner I have provided a copy of "really relialbe recall" but she is incapable of following the very simple instructions - only say command once, yummy treats, lots of practice at home. The dog doesn't even know its name. And the other knows but it's a puppy and chase me on the slippery mud is just too much fun. He ended up nearly black by the time he removed himself from the wet pitch.

And then neither owner wanted to apologise to the ground keeper. Eventually they both did - because we (the rest of us who've all had that problem) assured them if they do a suitably grovelly apology they will be forgiven. The groundkeeper is such a softy, he can't get mad at someone who owns up and says sorry. But he's really mad at the ones who sneak off and say nothing. Which is what the GR puppy owner did the first time it got on the pitch and dug a hole.

Effective control - not at all.

Frosty wanted to join in but I ran the other way and she followed me. Nice to have a working breed.

Good work getting Pretty desexed today! Are you sure the red cordial might not be too much?

I just have to say SS13 is driving me nuts.

Can he really be so dense or is he playing me. That is the question?

His Mother tells me that he asked her to get his assignment materials for him on the weekend. She suspects he wants her to do it for him. Well because she does, & in her defense he can wear you down. But she refused and said his assignment should have been started at his fathers.

I ask SS this arvo what homework or assignments does he have? Answer none.

I leave it a while and ask again. He tells me of his roll call assignment not the Art assignment his mother is talking of that he told her was due this Friday.

So finally I ask what of the Art assignment. Oh yeah I forgot, he says. Hmmm.

So what do you need for it, I ask.
I need this and that and a milk container, he says.
Oh the one I got you before, I asked?
Yep, he says, only he threw it out.
    Why, I asked.
I forgot what I had to keep it for.

Can he really be so dense. Are teenage boys really this forgetful? Do you believe in growth spurts? Any suggestions before I murder him apart from a stiff drink which I'm already having would be gratefully appreciated.

I don't think anyone can be that dense.... I don't have any advice but I really feel for you having to deal with that.
