Well just an update on my aches and pains (rather than do it in Rio's thread). I've booked in for first thing Sunday morning with the doctor who can take my blood (where's the dracula icon). After reading about Boh's warning last night I've told the receptionist I want to be tested for Ross River Virus as well as everything else. I don't have a rash, but I have got all the other symptoms. Joint pain, headaches, tiredness, not sure if I'd had a fever, don't recall having one, but I've been popping paracetamol which may have kept it under control.

I got bitten alive abot 3 weeks ago by massive mozzies when I went to the central coast, and the property is opposite the river and also has leeches in the ground, so the timing would fit. Maybe it's all coincidence, but I'm hoping the blood tests will show what's going on one way or the other.

I had an arbo Virus many years ago. At the same time my now 30yo son had ross river (he was just startying high school) Not fun at all. It and the arbo virus' are endemic here due to all the irrigation and a study had to be abandoned because not enough people were found who did NOT have it in their blood.

That is why I giggled so much a week ago when I was bitten by a mozzie during my toxic time after chemo...dieeeeeeeeeeee you sucker....payback!

I need to have a belated vent (it may ramble a bit)
OH is driving me crazy sometimes. Moneys pretty tight at the moment but we've had my stepbro's wedding and we've got OH's friends engagement as well as our own coming up. So OH brought a nice new shirt.

The day after the wedding he starts looking for a shirt for his friends engagment. I ask him why, he's just spent $60 on a great shirt he doesn't need another one.
His answer "I cant where that one S is very perticular about dress code and he wont be happy if I wear a shirt with a pocket"

The dress code for both events is cocktail, if S is going to kick up a stink about having shirt with a pocket why didn't OH buy one without to start with

Thanks for listening, I feel much better now.

*sigh* I know how you feel. OH still doesn't have a job. Today, I had to pay $58 because OH over stayed the time limit at the shopping centre & it was due today. And just in the mail today was a speeding ticket for $146. And he got up me for getting angry with him. GRRRR

And his defence is .... "But I NEVER speed. This must be wrong." I'll never understand male logic.

It's not even just the money that gets to me it feels like we have to go the extra mile for this guy. Dont get me wrong I like him and I really dont think it would bother him if OH had a shirt with a pocket. I"m sure there will be others there with pockets. But it drives me crazy.

Example, OH and I have been together for almost 5 years and I've never gotten a b'day or crissy pressent from this friend (which is cool) but this year we had to spend $50 on a christmas gift for S's girlfriend, S felt guilty and gave me a present he had out the back at work, I know he didn't actually buy it for me.
