Well while still on the subject of Hubby's, I just have to share that I told hubby last night that the babies have already been entered in their first shows.

"Yep, good, that's nice honey". Replied Hubby

"So next I'll have to make us Dual members of Dogs NSW" says me.

By then the penny had dropped and his big baby blues almost popped out of his head. I struggled to keep a straight face.

"Well I can't always rope someone else in to handle for me, not now that we'll have two in the same class"

Previously if I've gotten both Mickey and Tilly thru to BOB I ask one of the Junior Handlers, who jump at the chance, but they are also busy with their own dogs and that doesn't happen as much as I would like it to.

So for those of you that show; if you see this guy who looks like he'd be more comfortable on a Harley Davidson or just about anywhere else for that matter please give him some support.

He's going to need it, because when it comes to dogs my hubby has two right hands (he's left handed).

    hahahahaha...this sounds kinda like here.

Hubby: so have you done the show training with Ruby?
Me: why don't you do it?
Hubby: I can't do it...I have no idea what to do
Me: well...you won't know unless you try
Hubby: you are better at it
Me: of course, since I do it
Hubby: she really needs the training
    Me: Go for it!

To think of it...Hubby would rather have his fingernails ripped out and petrol poured in his eyes...than having to enter the show ring

When my Mum saw you at the show, I asked her if there was anyone with you helping you show, she replied with "Well there was a man there that I assume was her husband but he was having a snooze so I don't think he shows." She said he looked like he was having a great time and enjoying his late morning sleep in. LOL!

If he is into Harley's he needs to stop my Dad next time and have a chat -they would get on famously!! LOL!

    poor guys

my dad used to show one of our dogs. she was his dog through and through and she would have done anything for him. so no matter what he asked, she did it. then when we had our second dog old enough to enter the ring he tried it with her too.... she was my dog (i did junior handling with her)... my dad couldn't do it. it looked awful well, i showed her in the end

now, i miss showing.... but with a dog that is a cross between a rotti and a bit of everything with a very cute underbite i don't think we would be very successful

Oh Cate, I'm almost in tears of laughter. Yep that was him. He always comes along.

He makes a good post. People throw dogs at him and he stands there with them all. His only stipulation; no dogs that pee on legs please.

He calls it his down time, he works really hard at work and at home there is always so much to do so he rarely rests there either, but at a show he packs a beer, or "chill pill" as he calls it, his comfy chair and has a snooze until we go on.

At least he turns up to support you MAC. I go to a lot of trials & it's just the one person (male/female) on their own all the time. It's nice to have someone to share the win with or commisterate the loss on the day.
