We've just been outside with the dogs. Trust Mish .... as soon as she got outside, she got stuck into the fly trap unit that was blown off the house .... full of flies. ERGH That dog is disgusting sometimes.

The rain will only be good if it's gone into the catchment areas.

I would normally work now, but I think I'll take a break for the rest of the night. I'm still not feeling the best, so I think I'll crash on the couch & cuddle with my kiddies while vegging watching mindless tellie. Still not interested in food ....
The couch sound good... I think I might do the same!! I really hope you feel better soon

I got stuck on the tram for half an hour on the corner of Bourke & Elizabeth Sts (in the mall). The mall & Elizabeth St flooded - the water was so high it started coming in the tram!!!!!

Found out while i was at the hairdressers (in Collins St) that cars were floating down King St!

Have just gathered together some candles, torches, etc because Round 2 is apparently coming...
This is a visual of exactly what you were talking about Sweetie. This is Flinders Street ....

We got caught in storm on the way to my step brothers wedding, what should have been a 30min drive took us just over 2 hours.
Missed the ceremony, got to the church just as they were about to walk out

    WOW!

I took a couple of videos and photos on my phone while I was stuck on the tram, I'll have to see if I can work out how to put them on the computer. Wouldn't hold your breath though lol.

    How are you feeling today?

My last post was just before I left the house to go to help set up for our club's obedience competition. I found out about Flemington when I got there.

It was raining on the way, and most of the time we were setting up, but stopped while we had the competition. There was one fairly heavy shower but nothing torrential that went through from North to South and then flooded one of our Southern shopping centres (Woodcroft). I guess we were very lucky. I kept our chief instructor in the weather picture by looking up the bom site on my mobile phone. But I couldn't run the loops on the phone so I couldn't tell which way the weather was going, though we figured that out by looking at it.

Today we have big wet clouds coming from the East - which I think of as "going backwards" because the roaring 40s has just enough influence here to make sure almost all our weather comes directly from Perth. It takes a tropical cyclone from the North to make a different weather pattern.

It's just gone all dark and the bom map shows yellow and red - which is not here yet. I have cut holes in the top edges of my gutters so they can't overflow into the walls of the house at the back. Had massive problems with that for a while because every single pipe off the main roof - empties into the back gutter. Stupid stupid home owner before me did that.

Mate, I've been in bed all day. Whoever said this is a 6 day thing, is probably right. Had steak & vegies last night for dinner last night. After cheese, mashed tatties are my fav food group. Took a few bites of everything & then just shoved the rest on Rob's plate. The illness roared back into my system a couple of hours later. Getting to the point where I have to eat something just to fight the damn thing, so I've had 2 pieces of white toast today with just a slight smear of butter just so I wouldn't be eating dry toast. Spirit & my trainer/mentor/instructor/chief torturer rang while I was holed up under the doona a couple of huors ago. He's got this damn thing as well now & didn't front at school today. I haven't really done any work since last Thursday & it's pissing me off no end.

Just found out about DA & Inca thanks to good old Pugs. My situation will pass. Poor DA must be devastated. My heart goes out to her & her family.

I suggest toast or cruskits with a light smear of honey. Maybe avoid the butter as any sort of dairy isn't really good on an upset tummy.

Effing great. Rob's out there delivering pizzas until about 10 or 11 tonight. Oh well, I suppose that's why you have car & life insurance. Trust me .... I'm so sick ATM, we could have an earthquake right now & I wouldn't give a rats. It's raining here as we speak. I'm in Ascot Vale, so only 15 minutes from town. Scout's out in it somewhere. I saw him about 20 minutes ago, but couldn't get him in the house. He's resourceful, so he'll dash home when he feels it's safe.

Yep ... and there's the first clap of thunder just as I write .....

Off to give Mish some Valerian. Can't have her running frantically through the house like yesterday. The old girl will give herself a heart attack with the way she's going ....
