I had an interesting evening last night, wasn't tired so got on to google, in the course of my pottering I discovered that my father had died several years ago (last saw him over 30 years ago), I felt absolutely nothing.

On the bright side, I also found an old uni mate from NZ that I lost touch with 15 years ago, he was what I would call my best male friend, and I had tried to track him down a few times over the years. Sent an email, and he replied, stoked that I'd found him! It's made my day!

Morning all. Hmm, this belly thing seems to be taking it's own sweet time to fix itself. I wasn't able to eat anything yesterday & I've still got that razor blade feeling in my tummy this morning. On the positive side, I've lost a fair bit of those jowls on my face I gained when I stopped smoking, so I suppose if I don't eat everything in sight when I'm feeling better, it will have been a good thing.

Greys ... can you tell me what site it was that you found out about your Father being dead please.

Poor you GSD's, I hope your tum feels better soon, will send lots of healing vibes your way.

As to my dad, well kind of morbid, but I was looking at a NZ obituary site (was looking for someone else) and typed in my surname, it brought up the obit of my fathers last wife and made reference to him, his wasn't on it, but said the "late" xxxx. Last wife died in 2007 so it was some time before that. Next time I go to NZ if I can be bothered I might go to Birth Deaths and Marriages with my birth certificate to see if I can find out more details.

There is a site called ancestry.com.au that I'm going to look at when I get the time, they give you 2 weeks free and it has Australian and UK records. I think I might be able to go back quite a few generations as I have my Nan's birth certificate, so I can trace back to at least 4 generations (all on my mothers side, no idea about my fathers).

I feel for you GSDs!! I had the tummy bug about 3 weeks ago - it lasted for about 6 days before I eventually went and got some gastro stop. All I ate was cruskits and toast. I was staaaaarrvvving by the end of it!!

The plus side was I had to give up coffee for the week (it sometimes upsets my stomach anyway). So I managed to kick my caffine addiction! I was becoming really dependent on it, and now I'm down to 1 cup a day (because I enjoy it, not because I need it anymore!)

I hope you feel better really soon!!!

    I am LMAO'ing right now.
Mollie was outside and Ned, my 5yr old little brother ran out from his room and cried "HellooooHH MOLLIEEEEEE!" and proceeded to THWACK right into the glass door. Poor bugger has a big red egg on his head, but he felt better when I gave him a freddo frog. LOL typical! SOOOOHHHH funny! x)

6 days eh. Fabulous ..... so NOT. I can't believe I've got anything left in my system to projectile out either end, but it just keeps coming. Just back from the market with Tara. Rob got an egg & bacon roll to share. I ended up giving Tara my half. She thought all her Christmas had come at once. She's such a good girl & got so many pats & cuddles from lots of people. I wasn't in the mood to put up with Spirit's "You lookin' at me" attitude with everyone, so left her home. It's nice to do something just with Tara every now & then. The poor thing always takes a back seat when Spirit's around because not many people have seen a White.
