    Thanks for the posts guys.

He keeps telling everyone that he thinks it will hit him at the funeral, so I guess I will just let him be for now, but be there for him at the funeral.

My Niece's partner was murdered & I went up for the funeral. She was hysterical (understandibly) as it was a burial & she wasn't coping with the coffin being lowered into the ground. The thing that really struck a cord with me was when the celebrant stopped the coffin being lowered & said "That's not xxxx any more. He has gone to a safe & happy place. We are just respecting his earthly remains by giving them their final resting place."

Thanks for your wishes. I've jumped in the shower, had a big scrub, put on fresh clothes & have started work. Thank goodness it was only a 24 hour thing.

Hey Ferrero sorry I missed your original post.
My partner is the type that doesn't talk about things, it took me along time to realise this is just his way of dealing with things. I let him know I'm there for if he needs me, he's told me he appriciates this. It can be hard at times though.

I agree about not asking questions at the funeral. I think people will volunteer the info. That's what's happened at funerals I've been to. What ever you need to know about what happened, someone will tell you without you needing to ask.

GSDs4Ever - I think you've put me off dial a pizza. There's a shop around the corner from me where the guy who takes the money, makes the pizza and cuts up the cooked pizza all on the same bench with the same fingers and the thing that really lost my appetite - dirty apron with holes in it, that hangs over the edge of the bench in the cooked pizza and uncooked pizza - ew ew ew...

So the good thing is that somebody is earning some money doing a job? Just best not to eat what he brings home.

You crack me up (in a good way) sometimes Hy.

Yes, it's good he's bringing home a bit of $s .... & is out of my hair for a few hours. And yes, I shouldn't eat what he brings home for the reasons you say .... and I really shouldn't eat that late at night ... and junk food at that. Sadly, I have learned my lesson about the consequences of falling off the healthy eating wagon the way.

yes I'm frightened of most pizza. All the chain store stuff makes me feel ill pretty instantly and I rarely eat it.

There is a nice pizza shop near where our basketball stadium, and my friends and I when we go to watch the basketball have a pre-game ritual involving pizza, excellent SA wine, and when I go - fancy cheese and bikkies (as if the pizza didn't have enough calories), and a picnic table and chairs. You feel ok about indulging with the wine because you're going to get a couple of hours of screaming and yelling to digest it all. A pity our team played like crap this year.

I've just been thinking about our forum members who are having a crack at stopping smoking. I just can't find that "The decision has been made" thread to "bump" & ask how everyone is going with their personal plans, sucesses & "whoops, I stuffed up but I'm stil hanging in there".

I think it's in the restricted area. I'll go have a look.

Night all. I'm still a bit flat, so time to get some "Zeds" ready to hit it all at full steam tomorrow.
