Me too DA. Trust me, my dogs eat better than what I do Lovey. With Sheppies though, you have to keep them slender so they don't have hip & back problems.

Oh ... and did I tell you all ... all my girls get a doggie massage every week. Ah .... life is good at Treat Central.

Definitely Jess. But I think it's more about her teaching me what I need to learn to progress in this crappy human existance. That's how "The Universe" works ....

I was having a very big problem bonding with Tara in the early stages. She was like an autistic child & she gave me no emotion or affection what so ever. If I tried to cuddle her, she leaned away from me like I had the plague. Any sort of "normal dog obedience training" was completely out of the question as Tara was having none of it. But I persisted despite Tara's indifference to me.

It was one of the happiest days of my life when she actually sniffed me (of her own free will) for the first time .. and that didn't happen until she was about 2. Since then, Tara & I have "fumbled about" with weekly training & neither of us are very good in our "partnership".

I love my Tara. She may or may not love me in return ... but I'll work with what she brings to "the table" every day & see where we go on our journey together.

Absolutely Demi. When we got back from the festival today and I read all your posts & Tara was crashed out in the hallway, I lay on the floor with her & said "And this birthday kiss is from xxxx ... and this birthday cuddle is from xxx .... and xxx sends you their love" ... she seemed to understand it all. Although you just never know with Tara. She's a "deep thinker". I'm sure she'll digest it all later.

Sweetie, I'm only as nice, well mannered & considerate as my dogs have taught me how to be.

Just another example. How can someone so incredibly modest not be a lovely person?

Ah Jess ... I go to a 10 o'clock training class with Spirit, she makes me look good as a handler & I soar with the eagles with my over inflated ego of my own importance. I take Tara at 11, people look at me & have a look of "What tha ?" on their face ....... and I thank Tara for keeping me grounded.
