Miss Tara thanks you all for your wishes. She's had a lovely day so far. Before school, I bribed her with some of my breakfast bacon to get her attention while I was taking her birthday photo.

We went to school at 10. School for Tara isn't about learning anything because she thinks that all this "marching up & down" has whiskers on it. She & I just had fun. We lay on the grass a lot between exercises & Tara rolled from side to side with a big smile on her face & her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth.

After that we went to the Moonee Valley Festival, where dog club has a stand every year. Over 3 hours of standing about, with people wanting to pat Tara & scratch her chest all the time. Tara LURVES having her chest scratched. I was loaded to the hilt with my treats, so Tara got to constantly "snack" without doing anything because people wanted to give her a treat.

After our "stint" at our club stand, we toddled off, got a drink & lay on the grass for a while. A whole heap more people wanted to come & pat our dogs, so Tara felt very "adored" by the time we left.

Home now & she crashed out on the hallway floor. I've just read her all your birthday wishes & given her all your loves, cuddles & kisses.

Miss Tara says "Woof woof" & follows that up with big face licking Jess. That's Tara speak for "Thanks & I give you a kiss".

Yep Myf & Jess. I made DA the other day ... .... when I said she's 70cms "at withers". Her Father is 65cms, her Mother is 61cms. She's definitely oversized, so it's a good thing we weren't planning to breed from her. She's all legs & very "unco". When she runs, her legs splay everywhere. I describe her gait as a "windmill on steroids". She started to go grey around her muzzle at 12 months because she's such a stress head.

Hippo & SPRV have met all my "girls" & will tell you Tara is such a loving, cuddly sweetie. She's very immature & may never step into a trialling ring, but I love her very much.

I am so jealous...Why can't my legs be so long?

She is a beautiful specimen GSDs4Ever, you should be so so proud.

Forget the ruddy legs! Why can't I be that slender?

After my kids, I've got huge boobs, bum and stretch mark city. But hey, that's the price we pay.

Me too Jess. I am a short arse. To be honest though Jess, a breeder would have put Tara down or re homed her because of all her physical faults according to the breed standard. Thank goodness then that I saw her at 3 weeks of age, plonked my deposit on her then & there and waited until I could take her home. And the rest is history .... warts & all.

Myf ..... She's been a "stress head" since day one. I live in Melbourne. Whilst I have to limit Spirit's "open window access" while I'm driving the car because she'll "car surf" as much of her body out the open window as the open window will allow, my poor Tara won't stick even her nose out the window just in case a tram, truck or van comes in the window to "get her".
