On the news broadcasts today, they're asking people in risk areas to be very, very careful.

I've got both air cons on, all block out curtains down & won't go outside now until the sun goes down.

Same for NSW, we are in for a long hot dry windy summer according to the "experts"

I live close to the base of the "Blue Mountains" region, bush fire region..

Thousands of fire fighters are on standby across NSW ahead of extreme temperatures, tinder dry conditions and strong winds forecast for the next two days.
On Thursday morning about 250 firefighters were battling to contain 29 bush and grassfires across the state.

Two of them, in northwestern NSW, are causing real concern, the Rural Fire Service says.

A fire at Thunderbolts Way, near Inverell, which started on Tuesday, has burnt through more than 2000 hectares.

Another at Sawn Rocks, northeast of Narrabri, also burning since Tuesday, has blackened over 130 hectares.

Most of the fires have been ignited by dry lightening, NSW Emergency Services Minister Steve Whan told reporters in Sydney.

But Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons warned there would be little relief for firefighters throughout the bushfire season.

"The outlook this summer is that this season is going to be one of the most difficult fire seasons we've seen for many years," he said.

"The long term outlook is certainly a 75 per cent or greater probability of NSW experiencing above average temperatures," he said.

"There is no favourable outlook for any meaningful rainfall, we've got the El Nino pattern dominating the weather pattern - which is hot, dry conditions.

"And the October drought map for NSW shows that only 4.9 per cent of the state was deemed to be satisfactory in terms of a drought state, so 95 per cent of NSW is either officially drought declared or drought-affected... so when fires do start they burn quickly and spread rapidly and containment is very difficult."

I just finished watching Marley and Me.

    Oh, my, god. I bawled.

DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANT IT TO BE SPOILT!

When John(Owen Wilson) was saying bye before he was put to sleep, and apologising for calling him a bad dog and worlds worst dog and telling him how much he really was loved reminded me of when Roly almost died
