Mate, it's the "cocktail hour" somewhere around the world, so don't feel at all guilty.

Hubby and I now have a pet cat....

He was the next door neighbours that was permanently here except when he wanted feeding and now they aren't going to be feeding him anymore.

They approached me this morning and told me that they weren't going to bother with him anymore and did I want him as if I wasn't interested they were just going to take him to be put to sleep.

So not happy but kind of happy at the same time. One of those bittersweet moments. At least now I know he will be very well looked after and be locked away at night (he has been anyway since hubby and I moved in here!)

From reading about your next door neighbours on another thread, pussy will be better off with you.

I somehow managed (with OH's help) to pick the house in the court with d*ickheads either side....

Can't say I'm complaining about having him, just the circumstances that it's all happened under - at least when he was younger they had him desexed and chipped! I've still got to get him a booster and registered with the council though.

Haha! Batty's not quite big enough to hurt but he's definitely on his way!

I love all animals, Bobby is no exception - he's the cat in the photos with Batty in my album btw. I think he's stunning!

Cats are great, I agree Peta.

Was going to ask if they had de-sexed the cat or anything Angela, so pleasantly surprised to read here that they have.

Speaking of ********s, I used to have this bad habit of calling them all Richard. The blank look on their faces was priceless, then when I'd explain that Richard is the correct name for ****, aka ********, they'd still take forever to figure out if I was taking the piss out of them or not! PMSL. Like I say, the world is full of morons with few brain cells.

He's around 3 and a half, has been desexed and microchipped (I think he came that way) but hasn't been vaccinated in around 3 years. Turns out my vet is the same as the one they used with him. I've had him checked and he's had his booster now. He's got a little scarring on one ear from fighting with other cats but other than that he's in pretty good health. He's too thin and I've apparently got to feed him a little bit 3 times a day for a while as the vet doesn't think he's had a proper meal in about 2 weeks, other than the odd bird here and there

ROFL... I wonder what would happen if I called Chris Richard... this should be fun!

Chris will probably stand there and scratch his head for a fair while. If the penny doesn't drop and he keeps scratching, just sigh...

Oh, and the ones who own Bear have three. 8 year old twins who are absolute sh*ts (no other word for it!) and a 10 year old who is the sweetest kid I think I've ever met. He loves helping with Batty too.
