Close enough that it's cheaper to come & pick up her treats than pay for postage.

Oh Lordy, I did NOT have a good night, I can relate to DA's thread! I tried to go to bed at about 11:30, but I was kept awake by my old girl who simply wouldn't settle down, she kept stumbling out of bed, so I had to keep getting up and putting her back in there.

Then I took her out to the garden for a wee at about 2:30, hoped she'd settle, but no. She finally went to sleep at about 4:30 (YAWWWWWN).

I was ready to scream! But I can't with her, she'll be 17 in 3 weeks, she's mostly blind, mostly deaf and she gets lost very easily (which is why she sleeps in my bedroom). I think I will set up a crate so she can turn in circles as much as she likes!

Her "time" is coming, but while she eats well, drinks well and still enjoys pottering in the garden I will let her - as frustrating as it gets for me, I'll take sleep deprivation any day if it means she's with me a bit longer.

Gawd, I suffer insomnia as it is, last night I was ready to sleep, I think I got 3 hours at best. Tried to go back to bed after giving the horse his brekky, but too late, I was wide awake.

Wish there was a sleeping tablet for dogs!

    *and here endeth the rant*

I feel for you Greys. When Shads was "getting towards that stage" too, he and I would trot off to the loungeroom, just like we did when he was first home as a pup so he and I could be together, him wake me easier when needed as I was only on a mattress on the floor and hubby, who works 7 days could get some uninterrupted sleep.

Even though I'm the only human bean in the house, I still got dirty looks from the dogs every time I switched the lights on!

Little sod is now out for the count in her bed, and probably won't wake up until dinner time! *considers poking her with a big stick*
