Why isn't anyone answering my diet chart thread? Is it that boring? Oh all right, liven up you old goat, DA.
I don't know why the breeders would do that other than getting pup used to different types of food. I would prefer giving one type...eg either raw or dry, so the balance is right

exactly. Goes against everything i believe and know. Trying to figure out any other reason they would do this that isn't coming to me???

    Defeats the bloody purpose IMO.

I agree 100%...unless they are not 100% confident their feeding regime on raw is sufficient

Thing is Cleas, when I have been in convo with them about dietary needs in the past, they stated yep, natural foo diet is what they're into. I gave a big sigh of relief knowing I wouldn't be getting a pup that had to have it's diet changed.
So, I guess I was just surprised and yeah, a bit thrown to see they have been rearing them on dry food as well.

I wouldn't think anyone was too stupid to answer it. It was a question for experienced breeders, Dis, so not for a moment would I expect you were able to answer it. Silly girl.

I would be too to be honest.

Just give the diet you believe in! May take 5 or so days to change it, but I would still change it. Ruby was on a shocking diet when we got her and I changed it IMMEDIATELY...I guess I was lucky she didn't get any tummy upsets though

Yes, I have purchased all the meat/chicken etc today and portioned it and stacked it all in fridge.

I also bought the tiniest bag of ProPlan Large Breed puppy food they sell, and so I will wean her off that over the next 10-14 days. Not interested in commercial dog food.
