I think it is very much possible to have your dogs as a member of your family without treating them as humans.

My dogs are dogs...they pee on the lawn...they eat dog food out of a bowl...they sleep in their crates at night. They are also inside with us...are allowed on the lounge when we say...and get chrissie and birthday presents

Oh how I wish they made better "indestructible " chew toys. 5mins would be be an all time record for how long a toy lasts with decca

    Indestructable chew toys...

Bear in mind that Frosty can crunch a raw beef marrow bone to splinters...

So far, Frosty has not destroyed her everlast fun ball - they come in two sizes, are actually soft and chewey and I don't know why they don't die like tennis balls but they don't.

The frisbee is much less durable, very disappointing.

The kong is still going though she has put holes in it. The next one I get will be a black kong not a red one as they are supposed to be more durable.

Rope toys seem to last a fair while. But not forever.

For cheap dog toys that Frosty likes - bits of sponge and those strange balls of fibre from the beach. Bits of gum tree or almond tree prunings, gum nuts (the big ones) pine cones. Old footballs - but they don't last long. Tennis balls and toilet rolls, again not long lasting. Chair cushions - we found freebees on the hard rubbish and washed them... Again, don't last for ever. And when the neighbours kids grow out of their shoes, they are good chew toys. As are lost thongs (flip flops) on the beach. You can tell which ones are lost, there's usually only one and it's clearly been for ride with the tide.

I have seen those Staffie balls before but at 24cm diameter I just thought they were a bit too big.

I bought him one of the kong balls and that was gone with in a day or 2, and thats only his inside chew toy and he's only inside a few hours a night. And at 20 odd dollars it wasnt very cost effective

The best I have found so far are these hard rubber balls, they only cost $6 but they last him a week or 2.

    Dr Josh

What colour was the kong? And was it the ball or the conical shaped thing with a hole up the middle? Kong Wubbas are a waste of time and money.

I've heard on here that bad cuz toys are good for staffies, but I haven't tried one for Frosty yet.

Looking at them, I can't believe they'd last at all, but I can't be sure until I try one.
