    Default Any Gardeners?

    Any gardeners?

Have just started my very first vege patch I used the have a lovely green house type garden before we moved house a couple of years ago and missed it so much, it was 'my space'. So my OH blocked off an area in the yard and helped me to set up a vege patch a few weeks back. Leo hasnt gotten into it (yet!) but has managed to nab a few of my potted plants from the outskirts and throw them all over the yard

Having a few issues too my poor tomato plants are not looking so good to start off but in the last few days have been looking slightly better so time will tell I spose.

Some pics of my first vege patch (As i want to keep a log to and thought i would share ) these were taken late afternoon/evening last Friday (6th Nov) so bit dark but you get the idea:

New Radish, Carrot and my littlest cucumber sprouts (Will have to add a pic of my big cucumber sprouts too! Im awfully proud of them! )

    Snow peas just gone in

    Potted basil and strawberry

    Cheery pick capsicum

    I love gardening Leo.
Not vegies for me yet as my patch for that hasn't started being cleared yet, but i will.
Trees, shrubs, lansdcaping side of things is my forte.
My family have actually noticed if I don't get out into the yards to garden very regularly, I start to get grumpy and lethargic!

No advice here either, sorry, both my son's have them though. They did not get that from me though as I only have pots on the veranda and have really just discovered that keeping water up to them works well. I was considering silk plants in them, lol.

(They didn't get it from Hubby either as both were to my first marriage)

    Hey Leo,

I love herb and veggie gardening.. I don't really know why by the way? It just kinda hit me one day when I was plodding about in the yard. I whack my ipod on and get some real peaceful time working about and getting things to grow. Also really impressive when you can tell people they are eating what you've grown.

I've also got a pretty mean worm farm going on out there and I compost everything (except for the pooches!)

OMG, how gay do I sound?

    Peace and vegetables,
    SH

ps.. here's a pic of one of my steroid infused Zucchinis!
