We have the WII and only because OH insisted We have several games including the sport games and WII fit. When we had it new I was doing Yoga every morning for 30 min to 1 hour for a few months. Why I stopped... too many visitors who stayed at our house and than of course Ziggy and than too lazy to get back... OH plays more than I do (I am not really a gamer) but we play the sport games (bowling, boxing, tennis...) sometimes when we have friends over and have bowling and racing competitions.

Lynn if you want you could pop over and try the bowling or boxing (which is my favourite) and the other games we have and see if you like it

OO, I don't feel comfy about popping over & having a bit of a "punch on".

I'm just try to get an idea of whether it's a complete waste of time & money like Rob's usual hair brained ideas or if it actually has some merit & is worth the investment.

The advertising is really good & very appealing so I don't want to get sucked in .....

Default WII ... Thoughts, Opinions, Experience

Rob (OH) wants to buy a WII. He's been pestering me for about a year now. Without any basis of first hand experience for my opinion, I think they're a waste of money, but the ads on TV make them look like fun. We stopped smoking in 2007 & despite watching what we eat & doing a bit of exercise, we've still put on weight. Rob loves buying gadgets, so he's biased. Before I possibly "cave" because there's some exercise options/packages you can buy, what's everyone's opinion and/or experience with them.

When I first got my Wii, it was a huge deal, but I got pretty over it after a while.
I havent played it for about a month.

What packages did you get ?? Rob's pushing the health & exercise barrow. He knows I hate gyms.

I just got the 'normal' one.

Came with the console, one 'nunchuck', one remote and Wii Sports and Wii Play games.
