Default Talk to Me of Whooping Cough *sigh*

Anyone have more of those great home remedies/feel betterers ( not a word I'm pretty sure) for this ?

To be honest I thought the bloody bug had been wiped out, well at least brought under control with vaccinations etc....it appears that there are quite a few cases this year of it though and I am one of the unhappy recipients it would seem.

I will say this ; I can see why it would be so dangerous to a baby

About to start on Predni...prednis...ok,sound like Prednisone but that is probably not how you spell it but I am not getting up again right now

I have the kidlet home from school again today with full flu like symptons I had a personal photo shoot with a girl last Friday. She has tested pos to that oink oink Flu on monday apparently

    Been a horrible bloody winter!

So anything for kidlets with stuffed heads and Mums with sore chests and throats ( oh and headaches on both counts)

ok best advice I got from some friends of mine was to sip green tea. You can buy it with lemon and then add honey to sweeten and sooth the throat and chest.

Also try a hot tub of water with menthol in in cover your head and breath.

Whooping cough is a nasty creature and I hope that you are feeling better real soon.

    Many thanks guys

And tell your friends thanks Jarrah, shall give the tea a go

What I will give a quick plug is the Vicks VapoDrops-Blue .While I'm sucking on one of them I hardly cough, poor tongue is a bit raw but I'd much prefer that to the chest/head/throat of the coughing.

    Geeez! Chop
It just won't leave you alone, will it?
Ummm...I don't have any more ideas I'm afraid,
Hang on! Moist air is good, especially at night while sleeping. You can get those steam thingies from the chemist, you know what I mean right?
Really hope you get better real soon and bubs too.

Mags you mean a vaporiser. Yes I highly suggest one as well, cheaper to buy than hire and well worth it for winter coughs and colds. Grab some menthos to put in it. I swear by mine

    aw gosh thanks guys

But yep,it certainly seems to have dug the claws in.I'm getting realy frustrated by it now. I'm probably not the most easy going person to be around right now .

I dont have a vapouriser,OH suggested boiling a jug in the room, would that work the same way do you think?
