That is interesting. Sort of looks like it is crossed with a fox or something!

I think it's that Norweigan ? (cold European country any way) dog that is double jointed. Can't remember the name of the breed but that nice girl on the other forum we met on who had the Newfie, the Border Terrier and the Dobe x called Timothy was very interested in them. I think they hunted seabirds or their eggs or something - Puffins ?. Any way I think it's one of them.

That is where I learnt about them! She was known as Spikespuppy and is still on DOL.

I am not sure why anyone is guessing... the pic says what it is. Dogsrule, it is meant to be your turn. I can't post pics very successfully.

I kept on clicking on the picture and didn't get anything, certainly not the name of the breed. I finally looked up Nordic Breeds and found what I was looking for.
    Lunderhund.

That right. Spikespuppy. Her Newfie was called Spike I think. I really liked that girl. She reminded me a bit of myself at her age. I lost her email address so I went on DOL when she lost Miss Timothy. DOL is too big for me. I like cosy, friendly little forums.

It's fun to learn about the different breeds though Loren.

I must admit canine history and the different breeds has been a hobby of mine since I was a little kid. I think I was the only kid in the world who asked for a copy of The Observers Book of Dogs for her 7th birthday. That copy actually wore out in the end and I had to buy another on ebay.

I had one book that listed foreign and extinct breeds as well as the usual dogs we know. It was a great book. I used to take it to work with me when I worked at the animal shelter. We could find a breed name for every crossbred dog in the place with that book. Sadly I don't have it any more. It was lent and never returned.

Despite that book when I first met a Munsterlander I thought it was an English Setter cross. The dog didn't care but the owner was furious.

Great. She was lovely.. I sent her a message on DOL when her newfie died but heard nothing back. He was a beauty.
    OK, I'll post a pic.
The more people I meet, the more I like my dogs.
