I stopped calling them by nick names when Prada actually started responding to B*tch-Face more than she did her real name

Owning a dog should be a partnership. Much like a good marriage it should be based on love, trust and devotion until death do you part.

If you click on "settings", top of the window - to the right of your user name, you should be able to get into general settings, and in there "default subscription mode" set to instantly email - and it will send you emails about replies to any thread you subscribe to (post in). I'm not sure how you manage what you subscribe to. I tend to ignore that bit and I have most of the email notifications turned off. When I've got time to read the stuff here I come to the website and view new posts.

    Back on topic.
silly names for dog - when I first met her she was wearing a bucket on her head - so she was "bucket-head" for a while and other derivations related to bucket. I also call her affectionately "evil hound". She has also been called "Smokey", "Rusty", "Flossy", "Snowy" and "Snowflake" and answers to any dog name whose owner carries treats. And last night she was definitely "fartlebum".

I have always wondered if "Hyacinth" was a reference to the Bucket Woman (pronounced Bouquet)lol.

Someone else had this problem using gmail recently, check your email filters if it says you have subscribed in your settings. It is not forum related.
