    Default Oskar the Seadog

The boyfriend bought himself a fishing kayak today and also bought me a kayak as well for an early christmas present. Oskar came with us for our maiden paddle across the pumistone passage over to Bribie Island then back. It took him a little bit to get used to it, but he soon did, but he whimpered for the other person, regardless who he rode with. I sure am stuffed lol...we did a return trip without Oskar even jumping into the water at all. For a pup he isn't keen on the water. Next time we will take the camera, and get some photos of the dog at sea lol.

He will get his sea legs soon enough! I think it's great, would be good to see some pics of the next salty dog adventure.
I think you can get little sails to go on those fishing kayaks, might help save the shoulder burn lol.
If you find yourself going through hell; Don't stay. Just keep on going.
    Beau.

OM you do realise it's just not on to post the story without images would love to see some pics of the next adventure

I would also love to know what dogs think when they see big bodies of water, I am sure Zeke thinks they are giant water bowls.

he will get there eventually. I have a stand up paddle board and a 19mth old moodle. He loves the water but doesnt generally go out of his depth until I bought him a life jacket. He is a good swimmer without it but this just gives him a bit more confidence. I got one that has a handle on the back of the jacket so the few times he has come off (trying to eat the water) I just get on my knees, pick him up and pop him on the board....loves it now.
