Default The First Time I Met Diesel

I wanted to share my story about getting Diesel
It was a Saturday afternoon and my partner and i were heading to Bunnings for whatever he needed haha on the way out there was a sign for a horse shop that had just opened up ( im a horse rider ) so partner asked if i wanted to go have a look.
We pulled up and didnt realise that they also rescued animals from pounds etc.
Deacon walked off into the horse section but meanwhile id spotted a litter of puppies that had just been brought in.
They were so ubber cute and were jumping all over me, but there was one shy little pup sitting in his bed watching but not very interested.
I called Deacon over and we decided to get one...
Deacon wanted the light brindle male as he was very friendly and wouldn't leave us alone but i just couldnt stop looking at this dark brindle in the back.
He was huge... 6.6 kgs at 6 weeks old, paws were massive .. well everything was massive really.
So after 2 hours of debate i got my way and we took the dark brindle and named him Diesel. He sat on my lap the hole ride home, not making a sound just staring, we got him home poped him down and he just sat there and went to sleep... wow are we really that boring???
Now 14 months on he is my pride and joy.. he makes my day when i come home and he always gives me a kiss through the fence before i leave for work and when i get home. He is 60kgs and his best friend is a 7kg jack russel??
He still thinks hes a lap dog and just wants to be near you alllll the time.
Everybody that meets him comments on his personality and his colour. He's pretty amazing.
So that trip to bunnings ended up being the start to a very long friendship and the start of our family
I love him so much, cant imagine life without him.
Just thought id share because i love his story

Oh they are insane, youd think a horse had been in the backyard. Was so embarrising when we went on the rspca walk... it took 3 doggy bags to pick up his poop cause he was a little excited so his tummy went a bit funny. The worst bit was i had 2 bags left and the 2nd one ripped... i stood there like ummm what do i do with this mountain of poop but luckily some people stopped haha.

    Nice story.
Sounds just like my guy. The quiet one in the corner, the staring on the way home and sleeping.
Now he's under my feet constantly and my arms are covered in scratches and bite marks.
I'm loving every minute of it.
Dont mean to be rude but i've always thought you are a bloke. Dont really know why and not that it really matters. Am i wrong? Sorry if i am.
