Thread: I Am AMAZED.....

    Default I Am AMAZED.....

    Stunned, amazed, pure relief!

I got home from my dads last night to see Mum sitting on the couch drying Max and Teddy. From my eyes they looked like they had been running wildy in the rain - as far as I knew they had..

Anyway, I got home put my bags away and came back to help Mum.

Whilst I was helping her, she told me something amazing.

    And here it is..

"I went outside on Saturday morning to get in the car to go and do groceries. I walked around to the passenger side of the car and stopped. It was raining, heavy and something amazing was standing right in front of my eyes. It was Max and Teddy! (my Mum was staying at a friends, Max and Teddy stayed home). How on Earth did they get here? Mum wondered.

So anyway she put them in the car and took them back home. To find that our gate had been blown over by the heavy winds and heavy rain. Max and Teddy had walked all the way from our house around to my mums friends place!"

Her friends place house is around the corner, down the road, across another street, up a hill and then around a winding road. How on earth did Max and Teddy know where to go? We have a feeling that because of the amount of times we have walked around there with the dogs, they remembered the way themselves.

What amazes me is that no-one tried to dog knap Teddy considering he is a puppy Chihuahua and Max because everyone is always saying how beautiful he is.

I am just relieved that they remembered the way and didn't abandon each other!

I have heard of many stories of dogs getting out, but this one is an experience I will never forget.

Well there is another one, once Max got out - on Boxing Day 2008 and made his way to Melbourne! Someone picked him up and drove him to a vets in Melbourne where they abandoned him on a high way because he whinges in the car. We got a phone call the next day from the vets there saying they had our dog..

    I am so relieved..

You just don't realise how smart dogs are until you see something like this. I thought that Max would run off but he stuck with Teddy.

What I want to know is who led the way and who followed who. I will never know.. lol

Wow, how lucky they went to your mum's friend's house!!

They are amazing aren't they? They probably remembered the way - my dog goes to my friend's house if she gets out now because she looked after Taya a couple of years ago.

It makes you realise so many things and you look at your dogs in a whole new way after experiencing something like this.

I would say I am still a bit shocked and happy at the same time because if they hadn't remembered the way, I may be sitting here with 1 dog at the moment (Pipi) instead of my 3.

I just want to know who followed who and who led the way! It will always remain a mystery

Teddy is the younger not as smart one but always walks around there, Max is the older, brighter one and has been around a few times. Very hard to figure out.
