my partners parents have, but we were such in a rush to get her to the vet we didn't really get any id from them.

everyone is just keeping an eye out if they return to the beach, because that dog is not really welcome there after being so aggresive.

    Hi everyone =) =)

Im Happy today, a little sleepy tho.
because of the operation i was told they put a tube down her throat, this caused her to cough all night. I wold wake up, pat her until she went back to sleep, and or go into the kitchen to get her the puppy milk she loves.

i was very, very happy when i came back home to find she still had some tail, i wont know if it will curl until monday when the bandages come off at the vet for a cheeck up.
Lizzie was very happy to be back home, and everyone was so happy to have her there.

The Man that did the operation imho is the best (collin). he really does love and care for the animals. I dont know how, but he was able to stich most her tail up, and cut off just the end.

The bill total- including meds, sergery etc was only $250!
but in saying that i would of paid a lot more for my babys health, im just glad they didnt try to milk my emotions like some vets in the hills.

anyway we both would like to say thank you to everyone here for there support, it was a hard time for us, but reading the posts to lizzie helped us both stay positive.

and lizzie is able to wag a little, but decent size tail =)

What a horrible experience for all of you! And for Lizzie to go through this without pain killers... poor girl

I am glad Lizzie is back from the vet and that he was able to save most of her tail. Keep us updated on how she is doing!

Sorry to hear what happened to you, you can and should report next time it may be an old persons only companion and it may get killed or the owner may get hurt trying to break it up.
Kids under 18 are not allowed to be in control of dogs anywhere, and as said, the muzzle should have been on the dog if they had it with them it has been on the dog for a reason, if you are in QLD they are in for one heck of a fine if caught, your dog being loose at the time does not in any way excuse their dog's behaviour.
Unless your dog started the fight.

Guard dogs should no more attack without reason than a family pet should, I know plenty of guard dogs who would never start a dog fight nor bite a human without very good cause.

Should anything happen like that to you again get your vet to take a DNA swab of the saliva of the attacking dog/s off your dogs coat, it can be stored and sent in for matching if a suspect is located, your council can do this, and should do this, but if they are slack you can get your vet to do it, all you do is swab any spit left on the dog with cotton wool bud if you are on your own or not near a vet, do it yourself, do not touch the swabbed end and store safely, it is better for council to do it as it could not then be argued against as perhaps being tainted in any way.

Hope your little dog recovers ok
