    I can imagine!
Always been the same with babies, baby powder does it to me, milk smell, just babies! When people ask if I want to nurse their babies I take a step away and say "not right now thanks"!
They are fine once they are 6-12 mths old as long as they don't have a dirty nappy of milk vomit smell!

I have always loved animals, but then living in my parents house there was never a choice! LOL! My parents have shown for many years so there has always been dogs, the odd cat and once a rabbit that my boyfriend gave me when I was about 15 - Dad was not impressed!

I've always loved animals, but it wasn't until we moved to the farm when I was 7 that I actually got some of my own pets.

On the farm we had the following:

15 horses (all except two needing to be ridden daily! I was the only rider in the house too!)
between 5 and 10 dogs - not always ours but loved just the same!
6 cats (for killing the mice)
    2 mice (pets)
    4 birds (2 budgies and 2 cockatiels)
anywhere from 10 - 40 fish (goldfish in a huge pond)
A tonne of wildlife in the dam and the foresty areas of the property
between 250 and 300 head of cows
2 pigs (didn't last long because they scared the horses - they moved to another farm though)
    6 sheep
12 goats (2 hand raised my my mum and I)
    20 chickens + two roosters

I also brought home from school two puppies and three kittens (all at different times) and wound up giving homes to three more horses LOL.

My first memory was riding Ruby, our first boxer. I was 1/2. And then I got a horse when I was six, so Ruby was spared

    Boxerini

You were 1/2 = half a year old? That's impressive.

I vaguely remember sitting and being held on top of my Aunt's horse, I think there might have been a photo but what I remember was looking between its ears and thinking I like it up here. I think I was two. At least that's what I thought I was told - that I was two.

I had riding lessons on and off most of my childhood but didn't get my first horse until I was 26, and he was 27 - already a couple of years past the normal life expectancy of a horse. I retired him around 33 yo, and he lived till he was 39 having a pretty good life as best I could tell.

We weren't allowed to have any animals/pets as children, but I've always loved them. We'd go & stay with my Gran during school holidays & I'd beg her from the minute I got to her place to take me to the zoo to see the animals. She always indulged me.
