    Love the stories.

My OH's gripe is that he can't lay on the lounge and put his head on my lap while watching TV because there is always a Whippet or two on my lap.

Having said that though, as he comes in the door of an evening it's; "Dad's home", the dogs come running up to him and the kids just grunt from the lounge or computer room so he gives the dogs cuddles and normally mumbles something like "well at least someone missed me".

Hubby firmly believes that Batty comes first - and he does, but shhhh

It's funny though, first thing hubby does in the morning is go up to the crate, give Batty big cuddles and take him outside (for a leak in hubby's words) before bringing him back inside for his new habit which is jump all over mummy until she gets out of bed - Thanks hubby!

He complains about the dog being treated better than him, but Hubby greets Batty before me, is always asking for treats to give Batty (he knows where they are and I don't know why he even asks!) and even though he didn't want dogs in the car he's constantly telling me that we should be taking Batty out with us hehehe.

    I'm loving the stories!

Since Ralph has been sick, OH sleeps in the other room as Ralph most nights sleeps in with me! Occassionally Ralph sleeps with OH and I am able to get a full nights sleep. Reason for this, sleeping with Ralph is like sleeping with Darth Vada, possibly worse since the tracheostomy!

    OK Bo you win.

That is love and dedication and true responsibility for the life you have taken into your home.

And under the same circumstances I'd do exactly the same I guess.

MAC, I think most of the people here would do the same thing for their fur kids! You just do whatever you can depending on the circumstances. Mind you, I did sleep a little more last night with Ralph beside me as he wasn't quiet as bad, but did wake up with paw print indentations all over my back!

aww bless old boy Ralphy, how sweet of him to leave paw print indentations on your back BOH

I too would go too great lengths to ease my dogs suffering if need be ( much to the disgust of my OH, he's not really a animal person )
