    Default Its all lovely but.....

When its raining and windy outside, I love to look at my dogs wrapped up warm and content in their beds. It warms my heart and its all lovely but I cant help but think about all the dogs who through no fault of their own are waiting, terrified on death row at the local pound, every single day in Australia.
And to boot many of them have had sh*t lives before they even got to the pound. Some abused for many years previously.

So, when I win big on Lotto its my intention to build a dog refuge.

Until then I'm a staunch supporter of Oscars Law and tell everyone I know not to buy dogs or puppies from online/petshops/disreputable breeders.......

Just wondering what you would do if you won lotto.......................: )

worst thing is when a dog is happy in a good home, and certain groups go out of there way to black mail certain ppl from telling the truth when they learn certain things about the dog world, so they use there positions to destroy innocent lives and remove dogs from a good and happy home without rym or reason

The pound dogs are sad but at least their time there is limited. One way or another. I get depressed when I think of all the dogs that are little more than lawn ornaments to their owners. Stuck in a backyard, often with inadequate shelter, bored out of their brains, lonely and often scared and confused. Awful.

I used to hear this dog bark at night when I lived in another suburb and I could just hear the fear in it's barking. Lots of other dogs barked in that neighbourhood, but that one made me cry sometimes.

So if I won the lottery, I would like to fund an education campaign to try and improve people's understanding of dogs' needs and their responsibilities as owners. Maybe a free program at schools. Maybe even short tv ads in prime time. Maybe offer free desexing of pets to some dog owners. Free puppy training. Lobby local governments for changes in legislation. That sort of stuff...

When it's raining, cold and windy outside I celebrate and take off to the beach decked out in full wet weather gear. "The beach is ours Brockles!!!!" I must admit most times it's raining princess Brock looks at me as if to say are you stoopid??? before getting out of the car .. but of course loves it once there ... so if I win lotto, I wanna buy myself a beach!

I was actually talking to a friend today about what we'd do if we won the lotto lol
We said we'd buy a lot of houses and rent them out(pet friendly of course), get ourselves the stuff we want/need and then donate the rest to charity(which was GAWS(Geelong Animal Welfare Society) in my mind).

I would go the pet friendly landlady route with my winnings.
Where id have my own rule: you must be
    A) a family with a dog
    B) a single parent
    C) willing to have your dogs desex taken care of by landladies vet.

hit 3 birds with 1 stone.
    All rentals

Oh god... if i won lotto i'd be dead from alcohol poisoning within a month i reckon. !!

If there was any left after the 400 strippers took their cut i'd like to think the rest would go to a animal charity.
