    Talking Eddie & Boss

I have just moved out of home and am now living with two new doggies. I still go to mum and dads almost every day to see Toby and Hyde

Eddie is my boyfriend's American Staffy mix, he was born on the 10th of decemeber 2010, so he is about 13 weeks old right now.

Boss belongs to some people I live with. He is a 9 month old American Staffy mix and absoloutely love Eddie!

    Hi Slater.

    Nice pix.

By the way I would drop any mention of the word "pit" or "pitb*ll" in connection with any dog you own or love. Because the "breed specific legislation" (BSL) in most states of Australia makes owning them very difficult as they are automatically classified as "dangerous" so cannot be bred, sold or rehomed, must be desexed, muzzled in public, kept in secure dog runs .

I would if I was you, refer to the dog as an Amstaff or a Staffy x. Or even a boxer X. just to keep him safe.

True that, thanks. His official puppy papers say he's an american staffy and his parents are registered as American Staffys, he just looks a bit... like .. you know..
interesting to see what he will look like when he's fully grown.

    Excellent, he's an Amstaff then.

You can't tell Amstaff and Pitbulls apart by looking at them, unfortunately. They have the same ancestry but Amstaff have been selected for better (friendlier) temperment (I hope), so they are not on the BSL...

Mentioning P-B in dog circles or anywhere near council rangers etc is about as much fun as making a joke about airport security in an airport.

    Beautiful dogs.

I love the pic with the two of them sound asleep. There is something special about seeing a little pup curled up with the big dogs. Love it!!
