Default This is how lola stays cool

WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEAT WAEVE HERE IN ADELAIDE...MY DOGS DON'T REALLY SUFFER FROM THE HEAT AS THEY BOTH LIVE INSIDE WITH THE AIR-CON ON. THEY'RE JUST LAZIER AND SLEEP MORE THEN IN COOLER WEATHER. I TOOK THESE PICS OF MY 5 MONTH OLD PUPPY LOLA YESTERDAY WHEN IT WAS 43C OUTSEIDE. IT'S AMAZING THAT 4 WEEKS AGO SHE WAS LIVING IN A SHELTER COVERED IN FLEAS, EATING JUNK AND COVERED IN FILTH...

Haha Tony does the exact same thing it, he does it against the sliding door i guess because we have the air con on he gets the cool air from that.

Glad she is enjoying her new home!

    Smile Hi erinah

'moorook animal shelter' (in the riverland)
a non-kill and no profit animal shelter rescuing and re-homing unwanted cats and dogs from around the riverland and ones on death row.
Went over there a couple of days after christmas. I had read about the lady who runs it and wanted to go mainly to see the place and give a donation of money and food as i do to the animal welfare league every christmas.
I had wanted to get a buddy for my staffy misi for a long time. Introduced her to half a dozen dogs and none of them really felt / seemed right and my misi wasn't interested in any of them and scared of a couple. So i gave up on the idea. Or at least decided to put it on hold. The lady that runs the shelter lola - (named puppy after her.) showed us the pups and advised to get a puppy. I was not sure at first... Untill i saw lola-love at first sight. Introduced her to misi and she showed interest yey!

    Thats a beautiful story.
I will have to add that one to my list when we are ready for another dog (puppy as we have small children)

    Default Thanks erinah

i really, really hate the heat...so after a week of it hubby and i packed our bags and took off to tasmania for a week. it was nice and cool there and we managed to bring the cool weather back with us. only problem...the girls(dogs) stayed with my mum and lola (puppy) forgot all her toilet training skills while she was there.....any idea why? she was almost 100% there before we left.
