Thread: GSD's4Ever Photos

It's nice to have a thread where I can post pics & vids & can bang on about my "kiddies" as much as I like without pissing people off for hogging the forum & constantly boring people to death. I figure if people don't want to see the piccies & read my endless drivel, they can give the thread a miss.

Speaking of which .... I've just finalised Spirit's professional photography session to record her 2nd birthday I'd mentioned previously. As luck would have it, I'm having it done on Tuesday (weather permitting) .. her actual birthday.

A week or so after that, I'll book Tara in for a session. The poor thing always seems to miss out, so it will be nice to do something just for her.

    Haha that's quite fitting then
I can totally get her point of view - I am a social butterfly myself!
    LOL!

Finally GSDs.... what took you so long to start this thread

Great pics of your gorgeous girls (who, believe me everyone, are even more gorgeous in real life and are the best burglar alarm I have ever encountered ). I love the pic of Mish and the toy in the water, of all three jumping through the water, of tiny Spirit and the video of Scout and Spirit. Do you think one could say that Spirit has a mild form of OCD
Well, and Tara's video is simply a classic

By the way, I have never met Scout....

You're wickedly funny Hippo .... you cheeky thing. You've met me, so you should know I'm incredibly technically challenged. It's taken an inordinate amount of time just to get up the courage to think about posting in anything other than the "chat" thread & a few responses here & there on other threads.

So I think, in the modern day vernacular ... this thread is my Blog ..... I suppose ...

My girls always love it when you come to visit. Tara has taken a special shine to you in her own awkward way with how she shyly snuggles up to you, her head always bowed. Spirit has finally stopped barking at you, so she's progressing very nicely in becoming a well behaved young lady when we have "company". Mish is always happy to see visitors, but still likes to let the young 'uns know she still runs the show as you have no doubt observed.

Scout is a smart little chappie. Unless he's already in the house, or teasing Spirit, you won't see him until dinner time. During the day, he does sit on the top of that area where my mail box slot is, so you may very well see him perched there watching the passing street traffic.

Regarding Spirit's obsession with Scout .... my vet thought Spirit should have settled into the relationship within a few months of her being with us & would just treat him as being part of the furniture after a while. She's 2 next week & judging by that vid I just took & posted, I don't see her "obsession" with him slowing down any time soon ... do you ??

On the plus side .... Spirit has great "Prey Drive" & has focus for obedience work. She'll be a stunner to watch when she's ready to go to trial.

What pretty dogs, I have never seen one like Spirit before, well except in books.

I'm pretty uncomfortable with someone saying they're "jealous" in any situation Belle. Perhaps "happy" or "love them" would be preferable.

The Whites used to be drowned at birth ... that's why you don't see a lot of them ... until now. Spirit's parents are both White Sheppies.

I decided to play "hookey" from work this morning & took the 2 young 'uns the the market for the weekly shop ....

Spirit ... "Look at that Tara". Tara ... "I'm bored"

    "OO, that's looks interesting"

    "Hello. Pleased to meet you."

    "Damn. I forgot my sunnies."

"Was there something 'off' about that capuchinno we just had Tara ?" "Dunno ... let me just check my nose."

Spirit ... "Why are you just standing there ? Get me something to eat will ya !!"
Tara ... "Still bored, so incredibly bored with all of this."
