at DA. Both Tara & Spirit have this skin irritation that modern Sheppies seem to have. It flairs up in Spring/Summer & settles for Autumn/Winter. If you look at Tara's underarms, you'll notice they're a bit pink. Being a Diva & basically a lazy bitch, if Tara can con a human into scratching her tummy, she makes the most of it. She even grabs your arm if you stop.

She's a funny girl that Sheppie of mine Boh. Speaking of Dracula, I suspect AF will be along shortly to pinch one of these photos to "accessorise". If she does, can't wait to see what she comes up with !!!! It will be a hoot !!

    Morning AF.

Trust me, as an ex smoker & a person who used to have sex, it was the perfect final caption to the little photographic "montage".

*splutter* at Lynnie's post above. OMG, what a way to put it. Priceless.

Yeah noticed the rashes, but I'm amazed Tara has any, she is on a 100% natural diet yeah, with an overload of oils? Bummer, isn't it.

DA impatiently awaiting for AF to wake up and get to work with Tara and Dracula...

Now that you're a non-smoker, you'll come to understand half of my comment.

Spirit's rash has been worse because she's a white & it shows up more. In the grip of it, Spirit's tummy was red raw with no fur on it. They're on the exact same diet as Zena was. She never scratched like this. It was driving me bananas until I spoke with a whole bunch of Sheppie owners. It's pretty common these days apparently & just has to be managed. Tara has seemed to grow out of it as she's "matured". It has been less noticable this time round. I'm hoping it will be the same for Spirit. Poor Tara was just miserable when she was younger, but it hasn't affected Spirit emotionally at all. (Why does that not surprise me ) I've got a management plan in place now for when Spring comes & they're hit with it again.

Understatement of the year. It is PROLIFIC. It has got to the stage that no-one can really purchase a GSD IMO without being aware of how prolific the skin/ear ailments are in this breed.

Brocolli (and the water brocolli is cooked in) is also very good for this. Hope your managment plan works well, Lynnie. It's a pita otherwise for us, little own what the dog goes through with it, hey.

You know it's getting cold & it's time to pop the "leccy blanket" on your bed, when you walk into your bedroom & you see this ....
