    Irresponsible AND selfish.
This isn't about YOU. This isn't about YOUR dog. This is about the 4-14 puppies that will be born. Our shelters are overflowing already. People on this very forum are part of dog rescues and fostering puppies and dogs that don't have a permanant home. Why would you risk bringing MORE homeless puppies into the world?

ETA: I put down 3 canines minimum a week because they can't find a home. And that is ONE vet, imagine all over the state/country/world!

With all due respect Black, your 'situation' is irrelevant.

Another problem is that it may not be you who cops it on the chin. It may be another dog owner, the vet, the refuge that ends up with pups from so-called accidents from ppl who were blindly willing to cop it on the chin.

Society as a whole is doing everything they can to promote responsible pet ownership. if you are not planning to breed from a dog, be it either dog or bitch, then de-sex them.

I assume you are not planing to breed from him?

Prevention is better than a cure.

& how will you cop it on the chin / deal with it ???.

A desexed dog can also live a happy healthy loving life just as an undesexed dog can.

Alright well basically i cant afford it, so im doign my best to prevent it.. and it's worked so far. So save me the social embarressment and drop it?

Im 21 and almost 50 grand in debt, not by choice trust me...
Im not looking for sympathy, because i know what im doing is seen to be wrong in peoples eyes, but im trying my hardest.

I joined this forum because it looked friendly and inviting. Not to be called irrisponsible and deffinetly nto be called selfish.

also, people will probably think.. well why did you get a dog in the 1st place if you cant afford to desex him... but i have done eerything right to date and this is the last thing... cut me some slack

Edit: Yes i know im not the best at spelling, bare with me..........

    Yep, that makes it difficult.

Can you try even popping away $10 bucks a fortnight at all?

Don't know where you live, some cities have clinics with programs to help de-sex dogs in that situation.

If you had explained this first and not given the 'pop it on the chin' excuse, I wouldn't have been so blunt.
You wouldn't believe how often members deal with ignorance(on and off the forum), and it comes to a stage where its hard to stay calm and rational.
I apologise for being harsh, but I stand by its incredibly important you get your dog fixed asap.

Contact your local AWL, I believe they offer cheap desexing for people that experience financial hardship.

But really, if the bitch is not yours, and you say not your responsibility, then what happens IF your boy DOES get to her? Who will pay for the whelping, who will pay for a caesarian if it's needed.....who will take responsibility for the pups?

If you can't afford to do what is responsible and the right thing for your dogs....you shouldn't have dogs...PERIOD!

basically Black, what Grey's has said is a very valid point. You could end up with more financial strife in the long run if you don't de-sex as soon as you can.
