So, if he had his Championship Title before he was 14 months, what did he then go on to achieve in the show-ring?

Hey what's his pedigree? All my show friends and acquantances have German Shepherds, so just wondering if I know him???

Not unusual in breeds with lower entry numbers Clea, you've been in Staffs too long! Mine tend to title around that age, just after their 1st birthday.

Don't forget you could qualify before 12 months not that long ago.

That might be correct, but we are talking about a GSD that only had one descended testicle...having surgery and needed to recover from that and then STILL achieving Championship before the age of 14 months.

I am curious, because this is something I do not know about. If your dog only had one descended testicle...are you allowed to get it operated on and still show? I am asking, because this would be considered to be surgical alteration!

It would be the same as if I had had Sumo's ears made smaller through surgery.........or people with dogs that suffer from entropian have it done and still show! Entropian is a fault in all breeds (I am sure) regarding showing/breeding and dog/bitch should be excused from the ring.

Thank you for your kind thoughts for Tigga. You are a really nice group of ppl with great love and respect for our beautiful companions.

I really don't know a lot of what he did before I got him. My mother owned him but I live 4 hours away from her so have never had much interaction with her dogs. He only got his 100 points, didn't really achieve anything more than that. It was when he and another of Mum's dogs decided they didn't like each other, that she offered Tigga to us. His pedigree is Karraine Tassie Tiger. He was bred by ppl in Tasmania. I have no idea about the rules of showing. All I know is we gave him great pet home and will always be in our hearts.
