Hi Jeromy, Rocky is a spunk!! How much does he weigh? I had a male rescue stafford arrive here today and while my petite little Bella is only 15kg, I think Morgan may be closer to 30kg. Your boy looks a lot bigger than Bella also, so just wondering how big your gorgeous man is?

I just weighed Ruby yesterday and she is 14 kg and Sumo is 21 kg. Sumo is very slim looking because if his different body type than Ruby. Ruby is smaller, more compact, barrel chested where Sumo is longer, taller, slimmer and not as much chest.

It is quite interesting to see them next to each other. They are both purebred SBT's but honestly do not look much alike.

I know what you mean. I think Rocky has now settled in at 21kg. He doesn't have the distinctive barrel of a lot of the staffys I've come across, it had me confused for a while. He was the biggest of the litter.

don't worry about it...he is probably just a distinct terrier type of the breed...looking like the old fashioned SBT...like my Sumo

I don't think Bella's chest barrelled out until about the age of 2.....he may still barrel out then. However I am far from an expert on SBT.....Clea, Aussie Floyd and SRV advise is much more weighty than mine

Decca was at his max weight of 28-29kg a touch before he was 18 months, and he has a huge head on him with a chest almost twice the width of his head.

Staffy weights and sizes are all over the place from a lot of the breeders I have been talking to, still contemplating getting a second one, but might leave it another 6 months or so.

I am very disturbed to read in another forum that:

Julie Gaskin has a Stafford male called Soverenstaff Son Of Jack. He has recently been found to be a Carrier of H2-HGA and she is advertising him as Clear.
This is a disease that causes epilitic fits type symptoms in Staffords.

Consequently when I checked the soverenstafford website I am more disturbed to see that Julie appears to be continuing to advertise and trade in collars etc using images, trademark, and products that I have bought and remain exclusively entitled to.

I have requested julie to remove all images and advertising from her website before I am forced to initiate legal procedings and I therefore urge any prospective customers on dogforum not to enter into any agreement with her while this is pending.

OMG Chris....... i'm so shocked to hear about 1 of Julies SBT's not being clear of L2-HGA......

Jackson "Soverenstaff Son Of Jack" & Abbey "Waurstafford Diva Doll" had their 2nd litter, only 1 pup was born by cesarean birth. At the other forum/club Julie had ran a competition "Name my Pup", members submitted chosen names etc, then all the names were put in poll/vote where members then voted for best name, the winners of the poll were Lily & I, we came up with the name "Soverenstaff Rebel Red" because the wee boy was born prem & he rebelled against the odds & survived & grew into a very handsome red boy, "SOVERENSTAFF REBEL RED" is he's name is on he's pedigree papers etc. I know that REBEL RED was sold to a family in WA, they had planned to show him, i don't know if they ever showed Red, but i'm so hoping that Red's owners changed their mind about showing Red & had him desexed & not bred from him.

    I call you 2moro okies...
