Judge, Id just stick with pit ot staff X.
Some true type staffy's are around that people might think are pit or X, very few and far between these days though most I see are short squat froggy looking things.
So they stand out easily in a crowd.
I only know of 3 kennels breeding to the original 36 standard as they were ment to be, before the heavier and 16 inch ones were favoured. Heres the Addy to one, i wont post the others as they might cause a riot. IYKWIM. But they are truer still. WARREE STAFFORDS
    Great pics everyone.

Thank goodness for todays current Standard of 16/38, imo SBT's any bigger can be to easily mistaken for pitbulls or AmStaffs or crosses of either & that is a problem for the SBT... I so would be insulted if i was addressed as something i'm not & I so hate when i hear people ask if its a Stafford or pittbull..... FFS if only people would pay attention to individual breed Standards & kept on breeding with Standards.. then just hopefully the SBT would be as it should be a 16/38 SBT & not mistaken for a pitbull or Amstaff.

In this day and time...it seems there are 2 distinct SBT types....the "terrier" type and the more "Bull dog" type. The terrier type have a slightly longer muzzle...they are slightly bigger and square...the "bull dog" type is smaller...shorter muzzle...smaller eyes...flatter face...more pronounced stop and can suffer from breathing problems.

My 2 Staffords are distinct TERRIER types...the original way SBT's were supposed to look...50% terrier...50% bull dog, but the "newer" type seems to have more bull dog in them than terrier.
