    It was very much alive. But probably did not survive long after the bailing string was cut... sad to say.

    a bit like finding a white tail in your bed - usually too freaked out to be nice to it.

    Yes i know the feeling!

    My parents used to have a dairy farm and they used Border Collies to get the cows in. Many years ago my dad once found his dogs had a tiger snake bailed up in a corner, there wasn't much he could do to keep his dogs safe except for kill the snake. I think its only ever okay to kill a snake when in a situation where there is really no other option like in that situation.

    Does anyone know of a good dog trainer for snake avoidance in WA preferably in the Bunbury region.

    Bernie here has said she trains her dogs to leave snakes alone so she maybe able to help ... actually I'd be quite interested to hear how she does this also.

    As for trainers over your way, no idea but maybe someone else can help you

    This is the WA dog trainer I've seen recommended most often. If she can't help you directly she may be able to recommend someone else in your area who can.
