    Default Hi From South Australia

Hi Everyone, Im new here, and thought I would introduce myself. I'm Vanessa I live in the Mid north of SA and I am soon to get a new puppy, He is a Koolie X Rottweiler, at the moment he is just over 6 weeks old, so I still have a couple more weeks to go before he will be able to join us.

I grew up having dogs as pets but havent had a dog for at least 10 years, since I moved out of home, so I am madly trying to find all the information I can about caring for and training this little guy.

Oh and I am trying to think of a name for him too, so if anyone wants to throw some ideas my way, feel free.

    Vanessa

    Hi Vanessa
I love Sterling-hope to move there one day...
Your pup looks gorgeous! When I saw the pic the first name that came to mind was 'Boof' got no idea why...
Between now and when you bring him home, read as much as you can. Google caring for a puppy, books, go through old post here in the puppy & training section. etc.
    You'll need to be ready for him when he comes home;
    doggy bed
    puppy food
    toys
then keeping up with his shots, puppy school, desexing.....

You must be soooo excited !
    He's sooo cute!

    Hi and welcome (BIG wave)

Such a little cutie! If it doesnt work out you can send him my way

As Mags said, just read as much as you can, you will feel more prepared if you do. And any questions, were all here to ask I cant promise i will be much help but will reply

We were going to call my dog Neo or lennox (But ended up with Leo! Dont ask LOL) I think Neo would suit your little guy very much!

Look forward to seeing more of you and the little fur baby around the forums

Hey what a cute pup , has gorgeous face . i was thinkin maybe the name cookie, cos of his colours or matbe wait the first week to see what kind of attitude he has and then a name will come to your head . i called my dog lilly as she came from the awl south australia and her attitude was so sweet as she looked so innocent and she ended up being so sweet . otherwise plenty of training a healthy diet and plenty of socialising the pup with people and other dogs like taking it for walks and using treats to teach your pup . but he is soo young so plenty of playing and love will do the trick for the first few weeks

    Hi Vanessa,

Welcome to the forum. I'd find something to do with his blue eyes and name him that way.

If you need any help, I went through puppyhood about 11 months ago, and am about to go through it again in a month.

    All the best, Emma
