    Talking Newbie Saying Hi!!

    Hey all,

I'm Emma. I've just come across your forum via a google search, and thought I'd sign up and introduce myself.

I'm 30, live in Melbourne's east with my Fiancee, 2 dogs (both Lab's) Molly and Jack, 3 cats, and we are going to be welcoming a GSD puppy into our 8home in aproximately 4 weeks, when she is 8 weeks old.

We take our guys to obedience classes every week, and puppy will be going along also.

I've grown up with GSD's, and the other half is a Labby person, hence Molly and Jack!

Look forward to getting to know you all.

    Cheers, Em.

I am thinking of Shiloh... but we'll have to see if she likes it lol. I've been doing a bit of searching online, and have found out some of the breeders other pups have won quite a few awards in the show ring. So I think I've found a good one!! I just cant wait till she comes home lol....

She is a Jayshell pup, the breeder is in Pearcedale. They also own and run a boarding kennel. We went up there on the weekend, and met the mum, a 12 month old pup from the same mum, mum's dad, and the lady who owns the stud dog will also be bringing him up when we go up next weekend to spend some more time with the pups. She (the breeder) has the hip and elbow scores on both parents, my pup will be on the full register, and I was very happy with the set-up she had. The mother dog was in fantastic condition, as were her other 3 bitches, and all the pups were progressing very well.

Good. So long as they support you after the sale as well, it sounds like you're onto a good thing. I love the dad that was used in your litter - he is producing some very nice stock at the moment. He is one of the three dogs I want in my next pups pedigree - the other being fanto vom team fiemek and possibly a new import that hasn't been seen yet.

Some ok bitch lines (bitch breeder and I dont see eye to eye (not Jayshell) but you can't fault Kit and Hammer lines) - especially hammer - though I am biased as Cappy was a Hammer son.

Pup will have plenty of drive and will challenge you if he is true to type. Sounds like lots of fun. I will be looking for similar breeding but more Hammer.

You will need support from the breeder if you're going to go into the ring - it's a dog eat dog world in the shepherd ring *shudder* - but you say you've had sheps before so you'd probably know that.

Oops just saw that there is another litter as well - orrinshir xcel - lovely looking bitch. I had one of the bitches in the dam lin livie with me for 6 weeks - ace dog - very independent though, but I think that was because she was an ex showie and they kept her in a run before my friend adopted her. Chance used to commandeer my bed lol.

either way you've got nice lines.
