    Default Hi from Perth

Hi, I've been reading these forums for quite a while and finally decided to join in.

I have an 8 month old boxer x called Ruby, she loves water and chasing the ball, such a loving girl who is growing by the day!

I hope to learn some more about how to raise this crazy girl and enjoy reading about all the other dog breeds in here!

    Thanks Beloz.

Ta Oskar's mum, Ruby loves chasing balls or just having them in her mouth and the she throws them herself, keeps her amused. I've become quite the shopping expert on the hard wearing varieties tennis balls last about 1 minute!

LOL what brands? because Oskar demolishes them in a minute flat lol..By the time we have arrived at the beach they have been destroyed and we are often throwing him a dead tennis ball.....no bounce left...

I find the Kramar brand, they're called Inter-actives, the medium size is the same size as tennis ball and I either buy the ones that look like a tennis ball, in fluoro pink/lime green, it's a spongy ball, so it doesn't puncture like a tennis ball, they're about $5 or $6 and after a while the fabric comes off but they last for ages!! I bought Ruby a large one and it takes her longer to get her mouth around it so it's lasted longer, LOL.

They also have medium size balls that look like a mini basketball, soccer ball or tennis ball but no fabric on, same price or Rogz spongy balls in lots of bright colours. I shop around and stock up when they're on special, should look online overseas though, probably a lot cheaper.

For the house I find the $3 rubber balls with a bell in from Kmart seem indestructible. My new find for the beach is the Kong Water Wubba, it looks like a giant bright orange octopus...
