Hi Guys...it has been a while for sure.

What have I been doing...well...I have been looking after my dogs (of course). Eddie found a new home with a lady and her son near Gosford, so I only have Sumo and Ruby now. Sumo is closing in on turning 3 in February and Ruby will turn 3 in May.

Sumo is still suffering terribly from his allergies and is still a boofhead...Ruby is still a snobby twit when she meets other dogs, but also a little sweetheart LOL

I have been spending a lot of time on Facebook. We are a close knit group of people...gathering info about dog fighters (here in Oz and overseas)...gathering photos to turn over to the authorities...it is not an easy task

At this point...dogs are disappearing/getting stolen in QLD being used as bait dogs, so I kinda ask people to be careful...know where your dogs are at all times! Like many of you might know...dog fighting rings have been infiltrated in Tassie...these fighting rings have been going on for YEARS! The newest trend in dog fighting is "trunking". I can only explain it as THE most cowardly thing to do! They throw 2 (sometimes 3) dogs in the trunk of a car...shut the lid and let the dogs fight until only one is left alive!

What I have seen in the last 12 months eg photos and/or videos just shouldn't be seen with human eyes. I have had MANY sleepless nights and nights filled with nightmares...feeling completely helpless...for the dogs sake!

We have tried for a LONG time now to get the QLD police to listen to us regarding a certain individual, but unless you have photos you have taken yourself from fights etc...they won't even listen. This guy is a disgusting piece of sh*t to say it mildly! I have sent them his info...his Facebook page...videos this guy has posted of fights on FB, but what can you do when they will not listen! It has cost many tears...and many dogs their lives.

To some people...they might be "just dogs"...to me they deserve a voice and I chose to be their voice along with other people.

So...that is what I have been doing since I was here last...how about you guys?

Wow that is horrible! I've heard on facebook that up in townsville there are dogs being stolen. Those people really make me sick. I personally wouldn't be able to watch the vid etc, the work you are doing is fantastic. Glad there are some people who care.

I think it boils down to...how can I not care. The dogs do not have a voice...we give them a voice. Of course...most of the dogs being used are Pitbulls or Staffordshire Bull Terriers...2 breeds very close to my heart.

Yeah same here The last house we lived in the day we moved in our neighbours told us people would steal dogs like mine for fighting so I should always keep them locked up as some had apparently recently gone missing heaps in our neighbourhood. Ever since then I have been paranoid about certain people. I think they may have been saying it so that our dogs would chase the horses through the fence, but who knows.

I've got our yards separated now, they don't go anywhere near the front yard and when we aren't home Bella is in her run and Harley lounges around on the back patio. We will be putting up a colour bond fence soon so no one will be able to see anything in the back yard. And then when we are walking I make sure no passing cars or walkers see which yard we go into as well! lol
