    Default A Newbie

Hi I just joined and appreciate the advice and help I have had from members. My dear old Australian Cattle dog died last Christmas and I thought perhpas it woudl be the right thing to take a rescue dog. She is a sweety but a handful. She was as quiet as a mouse and gentle when we got her but after a brief honeymoon period she showed me why she was dumped - literally tied up to the local dump gate. The local rnager tells me she was well know in the pound and for chasing stock.

I still have a lot of work to do and have to keep her busy but it has all been worth it and i think she will be a great dog when she matures a bit more.

She is mainly heeler/ kelpie but perhaps some sort of pointer as well. Has a very soft mouth and when a bird flew into my window and was stunned she gently carried it to me. She round sup the chooks and any small dogs on the beach.
