My rescue is the "bitsa special of the week". I honestly have no idea what she is. Well, plenty of ideas, but I will never be sure. May have some kelpie in her, maybe staffy, maybe even basenji... She's a medium-sized brindle dog with a head that looks too small for her body and a body that looks too long for her legs and people tell me she looks like a Tasmanian Tiger.

She was treated well before I got her and I am very grateful for her foster carers who did such an awesome job at socialising her. Her worst vice is jumping up and mouthing, but we're working on it and she's getting better.
Actually he is lucky our son saw him, he was cowering under a bed after just getting to the pound, he weighed under 2kg, no hair, crusted sores, fractured ribs and vertebra , worm infested and a lot of bruising including boot marks and skin tears, he came out and sat next to my son (son was 5 at the time)and me being a big sook said we would go in every day if they would hold off with THE needle, vet agreed and we went in every day for 3 weeks until he was well enough to bring home, he wouldn't let anyone but my son near him, the day Scrap looked at us like it was his home and he was safe was the best day

Is your dog the one in the pic? very cool looking dog by the sounds of it and its great that she wasn't miss treated, I'm sure some people should be neutered and the dogs left whole sometimes, if mouthing and jumping up are the worst you have to put up with from her sounds like you were lucky and have found a forever dog

Oh, Scrap is gorgeous! I absolutely love scruffy dogs.

And it is a sad story, but those 13 years he spent with you will have surely made up for the torture he went through when he was young.

My rescue was found wandering along a Sydney highway with her sister when they were about 4 months old. Apparently they were not used to people at all and they spent their first weeks after that in the foster carer's 9yo daughter's bedroom because she was the only human they weren't scared of. Now she loves all people - and especially those who don't like dogs.

if my son had it his way we would be like Noah and have two of every animal and breed we just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be able to help Scrap recover. My husband has an ability to walk up to any dog and not have a bad reaction, it freaks me out sometimes but he has never been bitten except for when he was a child by his own Lab lol

Your Girl looks beautiful and she has those doe eyes that most rescues seem to have and even by the pics you can tell she knows she is safe and loved Hahaha I love that she loves non dog people shows that she feels safe, the only thing we have never been able to get Scrap to do is come inside but he is quiet happy in his palace at the back door and will even share it with Zeke and the cats oh and Scrap goes nuts when he sees workmen with boots on so if we have any work on the house done he gets a little holiday while it's being done.
