Default Introducing Myself and My Dogs

I have just found this site........I love Newfoundland's and have three and also own a darling Golden retriever cross Border Collie. I found I have a great love for dog training in the past two years. Have owned newfies since the eighties. Most of all I want to learn more about dog training. I have learned so much in the past two years since taking on our newfie rescue girl at fourteen months, who was people and dog aggressive and is now a lovely sweet girl. Who I like to trial in the cool weather

So there is Tessa...........Black border collie cross Golden
Annabelle, she was terrible when we got her, but is now adorable
Katy, my newfie from pup, such a sweetie
Tobias our recent rescue from Pound, who is very thin, nine years old and riddled with cancer. But has no Idea and just is such a happy dog Quenbeyan

They are a easily trained devoted and great companion. Love water........

They are not known for aggression and very social, we take ours everywhere and except for our newfie rescue girl, when we first got her, we have never had any problems. we do a lot of training and they love it. Great with kids, even though we do not have kids.

They are bred to be Water rescue dogs, so they are very people orientated.
And they are just big and huggable.

Do need a lot of grooming anf they need to be with thei pack, so no outside in the yard, on the chain or in the run for long periods. That results in what our newfie girl was

    Hi Newfsie.

I grew up with a newfie - she was always one step behind my brother, sister and I when we were tearaway kids - and used to drag us out of the local lake if we went in too deep for her liking...

    Her name was Katie too.
