    Smile Hi There!

    Hi!

I'm glad to find a forum that is for dogs of any sort whether it be purebred or x-bred.

I own a Rottweiler who is 3 named Whiskee and a Husky who is almost 1 named Duke. You should be able to see the pic in my signature of the two of them

At the moment I also have 10(!!!) 4 week old puppies, yes they are a mix of the two previously mentioned dogs and yes it wasn't meant to happen.

Nobody told us that a male dog can still produce puppies up to 2 weeks after he has been desexed so when he came home after the operation and tied with my girl we never really thought much about it. Went to the vet when we noticed she was getting bigger and her teats were swelling and voila there were puppies.

Whiskee ended up with 13 puppies in total. 2 were stillborn and 1 lil girl didn't make it to 24 hours as she had fluid on the lungs.

This was definately not a venture to make money and we are not BYB.

I take full responsibility for these little lives and we are keeping 2 ourselves and we have many trusted friends who are getting a new addition to their family in 4 weeks. We will also be giving them the option of return with no questions asked instead of the puppy going to a pound.

I look forward to many discussions, and am excited to learn things I don't know I am thinking I need some guidance in the next few weeks especially so would love if there was a breeder in Sydney who would be willing to be a help to someone who has never done this before (and never will again! lol)

Welcome to the forum. accidents do happen all we can do is learn from them. i didn't know a dog could produce semen after 2 weeks of being neutered so there you you taught me something and I'm sure a lot of people didn't know that either...

Anyway just wanted to say welcome and good luck with all the puppies.

P.S I cant see the pictures in your SIG i don't know about other people. Post some pictures in the album please so we can see your dogs and the puppies too.

Who told you they could produce semen after being desexed??

Are you sure he didn't only have one descended testicle which the vets removed, and left the other one?

Im a vet nurse, and i've never heard of a dog being able to reproduce after being desexed. I mean the urge to mate is still there up too two weeks, but not actually being able too...

    Thanks for the welcomes

aussiemyf7, the same vet we went to said that it could happen from what could still be left in the tube (have no idea if that is the right word). It is very rare but it can happen. Don't worry it was news to me too!!

Hmm I shall have to see if I can get my signature working.

I shall definately post pics soon though

EDIT: to add Pacino you have a gorgeous Rottweiler

I have added some pics to my album, I think I did it right, lol.
Huskies are definately alot of work. If they get bored they dig or chew. Have only found one brand of toy that he can't destroy, lol.
    Will add some more tomorrow
