    Talking Hey There :D

    Hey Dog lovers
I am the proud owner of Cooper, my 18 month old amstaff.
I was born into a dog breeding family & raised around show dogs & studs of different big dog breeds most of my life.
Cooper is a only dog at the moment but im hoping to get a blue amstaff later in the year.
    I've uploaded some pics

what is so special about blue amstaff? or picking a dog by their colour. I've never understood really, despite being slightly biased towards blue heeler than red heeler, I like both, was a fluke a blue was available when I went to check on a red that was gone.

Theres nothing 'special' about the blue amstaff. I just have a particular breeder that i like. His Stud and Mother look like the staffie i have now. Long legged and muscular instead of short and beefy They just happen to be Blue parents lol. Im sure if i found a brindle, tan or another black which looked similar i would snap them up no problem lol. Just personal choice i guess

    That's ok.

We sometimes get some strange people coming in here looking for blue amstaff like they have magic powers.

I got my dog from AWL so I don't know much about researching breeders, though I did look up the local ACD breeders and didn't like their dogs. Again personal choice. I've met some of those ACD and they have lovely temperment but don't move very well for a farm dog (a bit stiff and clumsy).

I've seen dogs that look to me like amstaff (long legged SBT?), in every colour in my area, but I've stopped asking specifically ie if the owner thinks the dog is a cross or pitbull - I don't want to know.

I just go by their temperment these days. Some get along well with my dog and some play too rough for her liking and some just ignore us.
