... i found him when he was 7 or 8 weeks old almost get run over by car, so i dont know the parents, im guessing he got away from a BYB.

When you find a dog, you're supposed to let the council know, and maybe hand it in, with your name on the top of the list for adoption...

    Other possible explanations.

The puppy was stolen and dumped.
The puppy was let out by a nasty neighbour.
The puppy was dumped because somebody didn't want it.
The puppy escaped. Unlikely if it was only 7 or 8 weeks old.

So somebody might have been missing that puppy, or somebody might have been glad to get rid of it. Hope you did the right thing about finding out.

It's good to keep their nails down, because they can get all sorts of structural problems, including a bad back if their nails are left too long.

I put up flyers i contacted the council i checked for a microchip and went knocking on doors around the area where i found him, when i said that i found him i didnt actually think anybody would think i just took him and didnt try and return him, but i was wrong. Do i really have to share every little detail of how i got my dog with you? i dont get angry when somebody educates me on my dogs well being but its another thing accusing me of "stealing" a dog.you dont know me and what i did to return him, so instead of posting in my thread accusing me of things you dont even know about, how about saying hello first and welcome.

No worries mate. I take my girls for a massage once a week & she sees heaps of dogs who waddle about & have bad backs just because their nails are too long. I regularly cut their nails while the dog is on the table & the difference it's made to their posture & gait is amazing. Who knew something so simple could have that much affect on a dog. Certainly not me until I saw the "after" trot up the road.

I would have said "hello", but Cino said it for me.

    Pacino

I gave you the benefit of the doubt.

I've read a lot of threads in here from people who have had entire litters stolen or dogs stolen and then dumped and from people who find dogs...

Sometimes there is no owner and sometimes there is. I'm glad you did the right thing but you didn't mention that when you said you "found" him.

I didn't accuse you of anything. Go read my post again.
