IMO your puppy is a Amstaff X & if i was you i would be going to council & getting the correct BREED "Amstaff X" on her registration papers. It's not fair on the Staffordshire Bull Terrier to be classed as something it's not.

I am so sick to death of my beloved breeds name being abused by the idiot bureaucrats, the so called expert council rangers, petshops & the BYB's

Here is my problem with it. Lets say your dog does something Juzza...it attacks someone or something. On the council papers it states SBT X but in real life it is an AmStaff X. The council is contacted due to your dog attacking...the "so called" SBT X is seized etc etc. My beloved breed is up there amongst other breeds having BSL breathing down their neck...and this little scenario would for sure not help the SBT...would it?!?!?

Some photos might help to determine whether she is AmStaff or SBT...have a look at my photos...does she look like Sumo and/or Ruby as pups?

it really doesnt matter what type of bull breed she is......if she doesnt have papers in Oz she is classed as a 'Pit Bull Type Dog'

Have you done any research on BSL (Breed Specific Legislation), APBT (American Pit Bull Terriers) and your council regulations?

I advise you to research hard on these things! Many of us have had to. And always look for updates even if you think you know everything there is to know about the subject.

I am in the same boat as you are Juzza! I had my girl Bailey registered with the council as an Am Staff X (still unsure whether this was the right thing to do or not?). They told me nothing about BSL for my council and until I came on to this forum I had no idea the sad reality my girls and I now face!

Please dont fret over the Stafford Lovers comments as they are trying to help you and are worried their beautiful breed will end up on the BSL list! (if you have done your research you will know this is not a list you want your breed of dog to be on)

The best you can do is probably go back into the council and change her papers to Am Staff X??? I think???? Choppa need help on this one????!!!!!!

She is only a Pitt Bull if she is AmStaff X, so you are safe
